We are a non-profit education development agency. Our mission is to provide quality education development opportunities for mathematics and science teachers and learners in under-resourced and rural schools in South Africa. Our organisation offers teaching support, content support, and resources for teaching and learning. We are also offer support for professional learning communities, school leadership support and psycho-social support programmes. We are also involved in advocacy work and research within the education sector.

Our vision is to develop ways of supporting poor and disadvantaged individuals and communities to improve their quality of life physically, socially and economically. Our Bright Futures Programme aims to empower girl children with skills and knowledge to have mastery over their own lives. It seeks to galvanise young girls to secure their futures by providing them with appropriate knowledge on puberty and sexual reproductive health, thereby inspiring them to make informed decisions and to develop a healthy self esteem. This school-based programme has resulted in a decrease in pregnancy of school learners, and a decrease in absenteeism and drop out rates.

Our goal is to ensure that hundreds of thousands of young people become alive to their potential and recognize their ability to lead change in their own lives, their schools and communities. We also aim to ensure that high schools in South Africa become aware that learners working in partnership with adults can do much to strengthen schools through effective social action. Our purpose is to transform the culture of schools to change the trajectory of youth. We work in close association with the Department of Education, building the capacity of high schools, serving economically disadvantaged communities to embed our values-based leadership model.
Our main objective is to eradicate school dropout though offering psychosocial support services. We work closely with School Based Support Teams (SBST).

We run pre-schools, offer ‘top-up’ teaching programmes with a particular focus on Maths and English, provide educator development and mentoring support, and have a life skills and job-readiness programme. This allows us to support over 6 000 students and 200 educators from their first contact with education, through to a student’s consideration of what’s next.

Our aim is to support learners by providing the necessary skills required to define life and career goals, enabling them to formulate high school exit plans before reaching grade twelve. Learners in Grade 8 receive an exciting psychosocial support programme called Minds and Hearts that leaves them fired up to remain committed to school. We then offer a Career Coaching programme for Grades 10 to 12. We believe that by Grade 12, every learner must have a clearly defined exit strategy. By providing the proper support at the right age and school level, we aim to transform the way learners think and feel about achieving dreams and life desires.

We create and support libraries in under-resourced schools. We set up the space and employ a young person in the community as a library assistant (LA) to maintain and facilitate the library. We then continue to provide literacy support through activities, competitions, site visits, LA meetings and training workshops. Our mission is to create a culture of reading. We believe that every child deserves to experience the power and joy of reading and the opportunity to become informed, active citizens.

We are a Non-Profit Organisation that uses the power of music to unlock potential in the lives of children and their communities. We use music to create safe spaces for engagement, creativity, care and healing. We work with primary school learners to help nurture their self -esteem and resilience by using music and dance as our intervention. Our theory of change suggests that inclusive, quality education should include fostering the socio-emotional development of children living in poverty. We know that in order for children to reach their full potential and to become contributing members of society, it is imperative that they have access to safe, supportive spaces where they can build resilience and acquire personal and social skills that will help them to survive amidst adversity.
