LISTEN: The upcoming Zero Dropout Action Summit is a launchpad for change

Merle Mansfield speaks to SAfm host Jon Gerick about the upcoming Zero Dropout Action Summit. “For the past four years our NGO implementing partners have been testing some innovative strategies in schools and communities on how to prevent dropout. From this we have found some simple solutions that can be widely implemented to prevent dropout,” says Mansfield.

The findings of the pilot form part of a series of toolkits to be launched at the inaugural Zero Dropout Action Summit on the 28th of September. The Action Summit is a free virtual event for schools and stakeholders in the basic education sector; speakers include researchers and experts working with the Department of Basic Education (DBE).
